Amber is the only true planet, with all others, including our own, being shadows. Amber makes Corwin's blood boil. The prince, who has been exiled on Shadow Earth for ages, is ready to return to Amber in a crazy and desperate bid for the throne. The air is electrified with the forces of Eric, Random, Bleys, Caine, and all the princes of Amber whom Corwin must defeat, from Arden to the blood-slippery Stairway into the Sea. However, weird buildings beyond imagination impede and defend Corwin's ruthless path; unfathomable realities fashioned by demonic assassins and astonishing monsters to test the force of Corwin's superhuman anger. Corwin is shocked to hear that he is one of the sons of Oberon, King of Amber, and is the legitimate successor to the throne in a parallel universe after waking up in an Earth hospital unable to recall who he is or where he came from.

Our thoughts on The Chronicles of Amber

Our favourite quote from The Chronicles of Amber

I like libraries. It makes me feel comfortable and secure to have walls of words, beautiful and wise, all around me. I always feel better when I can see that there is something to hold back the shadows.
